Ask Numi to find the meal you remember

You remember eating something similar, but not the day you logged it. Instead of scrolling through every entry, ask Numi to look for a familiar dish in the food history you have chosen to keep.

Give the search a useful clue

Mention a dish, ingredient or time period. A request such as finding a chicken meal from last week is easier to check than asking for something healthy. Search can only work with records available to the app; an unrecorded meal will not appear by memory alone.

Distinguish saved food from a diary record

My Food is useful for foods you want to reuse. A diary entry records a particular meal and portion. Tell Numi whether you want a saved food or a previous meal, then check which kind of result it returns.

Check the match before reusing it

Similar names can refer to different recipes, brands and amounts. Compare the result with what you are eating today. Reusing a familiar food can save searching, but yesterday’s portion is not automatically the right portion today.

Confirm any new record

Finding a food does not log another meal. Review the proposed entry and confirm the logging action if you want to record it. If no useful match is found, provide a more specific clue or use manual logging or a food scan.
